About me

Hi there!

Let me give you a quick bit about myself  (I guess introductions are mandatory on this site) , so you can go and check out the blog. My name is Fabien Rigollier, I'm 25, I live in Kuala Lumpur, but originally I'm from Valence, France. I studied telecommunications, and I spent the final year of my studies in Canada.  It was an amazing year for me and my camera!

I have had a passion for photography since 2009, but I’ve never been sure how to share it. I’ve taken thousands of photos, and for ages they’ve just been stuck on my computer. Eventually, my photos got totally mad at me. They said, “Fabien! We are so useless here. Let us out!”  So I had no choice but to make this blog for them .
Yes it’s true, my pictures talk to me (am I crazy? Maybe…),  but I hope you are going to be able to hear them too… Maybe not with your ears, but your eyes! Indeed, pictures are almost (I did said almost, I’m not totally insane!) human, they can tell stories, evoke feelings,  and be as ugly and/or beautiful as human beings. Pictures are like a book without the need to know how to read (although you should learn). Every photo is different and can be read differently, depending on who the reader is. Everyone has her or his own interpretation. It's what I love about photography.

This photo blog has no pretensions, I just want to share my work and maybe improve my technique, my eyes (oh man! I already wear glasses; what a bad start!) and my instincts (yep yep, we boys need it). Thanks for any and all of your comments, your criticisms, and (maybe) your support.

Now, I've got to talk about the boring part: Please note that all rights to the pictures presented on this website are reserved, so if you want to use some of them, please, ask me and let me know what you want to do with them. I would be glad to help you with a project.

What else to say? Enjoy, and don't hesitate to let me know your opinions about my work!
